Project Finance Associate

Position Overview:

As an Investment Associate, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our solar and storage projects. You will be responsible for supporting the financial structuring, analysis, and execution of project financing activities across our portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of the renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: Develop detailed financial models to evaluate project economics, including DCF and LBO models.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential financing opportunities, including reviewing project documents, financial statements, and legal agreements.
  • Deal Structuring: Assist in structuring financing transactions to optimize capital structure, minimize risk, and maximize returns for stakeholders.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with lenders, investors, and other key stakeholders to facilitate financing negotiations and secure favorable terms.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, regulatory developments, and financing structures relevant to the renewable energy industry.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive financing documents, presentations, and investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and financing agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with project development, construction, and operation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or corporate finance, with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial modeling (e.g., DCF, LBO) is a plus
  • Knowledge of project finance structures, including tax equity, and debt financing.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and renewable energy.
