Job Summary:

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouses inventory management system, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of stock levels, and maintaining proper documentation for all inbound and outbound materials. This role includes supervising a team of inventory clerks, conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to optimize inventory accuracy.

The Inventory Supervisor works closely with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders, efficient stock replenishment, and adherence to safety protocols. Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position, as is the ability to maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of products.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical audits to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments (testing, shipping, etc.) to ensure stock availability and seamless order fulfillment.
  • Manage and maintain all documentation related to inventory control, receiving, shipping, and quality assurance.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to establish and enforce document control protocols to ensure accuracy and timely processing of all paperwork.
  • Supervise and provide direction to inventory clerks, document control staff, and other warehouse personnel.
  • Train staff in inventory management processes, document control procedures, and warehouse safety standards.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure all inventory and documentation goals are met on time.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track, monitor, and control inventory levels and associated documentation.
  • Ensure that all data entry is accurate and up to date within the inventory and document control systems.
  • Generate reports related to inventory levels, stock movements, and document tracking for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for improving inventory accuracy and document control processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline documentation workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for inventory management and document control to reduce discrepancies and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to inventory handling and document management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper storage and handling of products and documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, focusing on process improvement, documentation, and compliance, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experienced PIT operator (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining documentation.
  • Knowledge of logistics and transportation management.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in warehousing and logistics.


Work Conditions:

  • Environment: Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Hours: Full-time position with potential for overtime and shift work.
