$969-1,044 per day
SCHEDULE
14/14 hitch schedule (12 hours per day) 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
POSITION OVERVIEW: Installation Superintendent Client Rep (Offshore Wind Turbine Generators)
The primary responsibility of this role is to act as the clients project representative on the Installation Vessel supervising/witnessing the transfer and installation of WTG components, ensuring that operations are executed safely and efficiently, and that an accurate record of activities is kept
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promote a high focus on HSE in all phases of the operation and from all contractors, and ensure that contractors proactively manage safety and quality
  • Supervise the execution of offshore transfer lifts
  • Monitor the execution of marine operations and WTG installation (performed by the Installation Vessel / Feeder Vessel Owner and the WTG Installation Contractor, respectively)
  • Coordinate ongoing work between contractors on the Installation Vessel
  • Act, behave and lead by example according to client values
Tasks
  • Participate in regular operational safety assessments / safety walks
  • Attend daily meetings, toolbox talks and any other discussions to ensure that the works are being carried out in a safe manner and to the required quality
  • Ensure that the approved method statements and client HSE requirements are implemented and followed in the execution of work
  • Proposed or review change requests, including risk assessments
  • Check the condition and certification of client equipment on the Installation Vessel
  • Coordinate activities between different contractors, ensure that there are no conflicts between simultaneous operations
  • During all key activities, and otherwise as often as practicable, be present as a witness during marine operations, transfer lifts and installation operations. Access all work areas provided it is safe to do so.
  • Record times and prepare Installation Vessel (and Feeder Vessel, when relevant) Daily Progress Reports (DPRs)
  • Participate in relevant inspections, perform walkdowns and prepare handover documentation in the Digital Inspection Tool (DIT) prior to, during and after completion of WTG transfer and installation.
Decision Authority
  • The Superintendent will conduct visual inspection of the offshore work in progress and monitor that it is carried out as per approved the approved risk assessments and method statements.
  • The Superintendent has no contractual authority, except for the authority to intervene or stop the operation in case of safety, quality infringements or the procedures not being followed by the contractors
Deliverables
  • Daily recording of execution onboard of Contractors installation / construction vessels.
  • Walkdown and handover reports
REQUIREMENTS
  • GWO courses: Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling
  • HUET, STCW 2010, OPITO or BOSIET and EBS (STASS, HEED or EBS)
  • Medical certificate including chester step
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar HSE training

CONTRACT LENGTH
  • 1 year & 3 months with high likelihood of extension or conversion to a full time employee
