Job Description

Headquartered in Sweden, Elpress has been developing, manufacturing and marketing complete crimping systems for electrical connectors since 1959. Elpress Inc. services the North American market with Elpress products and specialized knowledge from its office in Lombard, IL. 

As Elpress Inc. continues to grow, we are seeking a results-driven and self-motivated Industrial Sales Manager to join the team in North America. You will be responsible for creating market awareness of Elpress’ products and growing both new and existing accounts. We expect you will have experience with direct sales in the railway and/or renewable energy industry and thrive in a fast-paced, international environment. This position reports to the General Manager of Elpress Inc. and is a remote role based in the US.

Key Responsibilities
As Industrial Sales Manager, your main responsibility will be to promote and sell Elpress’ products within railroad and the wind energy industry by prospecting new clients, building relationships with existing customers and achieving sales targets in your assigned territory. Your responsibilities include:  

  • Prospect and qualify new leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential and existing customers
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless sales and customer support
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to sales activities and track in CRM system

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar
  • 5+ years of sales experience within the railroad and/or renewable industry, selling tools, components and products
  • Proven B2B sales experience with a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Experience with product sales; knowledge of crimping systems and electrical connectors is an advantage  
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A self-starter attitude with experience working in a smaller, international company
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with an all-hands-on-deck mentality
  • Proficient working with the Microsoft Office package, CRM and ERP programs

Salary: Competitive compensation and benefits package

Location: Remote in the US
Travel: Up to 50%
