Summary Of The Role
NextDecade HR & Operations Training Internships

At NextDecade, we believe that our people and their development are the foundation of our success. Our HR & Operations Training Internship offers a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to gain hands-on experience in both human resources and training development within a dynamic industry.

What You’ll Do:

As an the HR & the Operations Training Interns, you will have the chance to contribute to various HR and training functions, potentially including:

Recruitment Support: Assist with the recruitment process.

Onboarding: Support onboarding activities and preparing onboarding materials.

Employee Relations: Support HR initiatives contributing to internal communications.

Training Development: Assist in creating and updating training materials.

Training Coordination: Help organize and deliver training sessions, ensuring all logistics are handled and sessions run smoothly.

Evaluation and Feedback: Gather feedback and data to assess the effectiveness of both HR initiatives and training programs, and make recommendations for improvement.

Administrative Support: Assist with maintaining records, and managing training schedules.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Students graduating December 2025 through December 2026 preferred, pursuing degrees in human resources, business administration, data sciences, education, operations management, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A detail-oriented and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A passion for people development and training

Duration and Compensation: This internship program typically lasts 8-10 weeks offering valuable exposure to the LNG and energy industry. Compensation and additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc.This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions
  • While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear
  • The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities
  • Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions
