The Home Energy Services Advisor Position Sunnova Energy is searching for a Home Energy Services Advisor to be responsible for advising customers on which Sunnova products are most beneficial according to their unique needs, pre-qualifying customers for the product(s), and scheduling appointments for customers to meet with a Sunnova dealer or sales consultant. Our Home Energy Services Advisor will utilize their strong communication skills to inform, educate and advise new potential Sunnova customers about the benefits of Sunnova’s products and services (solar, solar storage service, grid services, and home services such as standalone generators, EV chargers, and HVAC). This position needs to become a subject matter expert in Sunnova’s products to be able to answer customers’ questions regarding product pricing, availability, features, and benefits. A successful Advisor will be able to identify opportunities that create more value for potential customers and generate high quality appointments to increase sales.

Home Energy Services Advisor Responsibilities

  • Engages with prospective customers and current customers to understand their energy needs
  • Becomes knowledgeable and proficiently explains Sunnova’s solar and other energy service offerings in manner that is easy to understand
  • Qualifies prospects for Sunnova products
  • Schedules in-home and virtual appointments for sales teams
  • Collects all required information and updates lead status regularly
  • Monitors portfolio of leads and continues to follow-up with customers as needed
  • Meets or exceeds monthly quotas
  • Represents Sunnova’s values at all times

Minimum Requirements

Highschool Diploma

2+ of previous experience in lead qualification or sales.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to learn and adapt to changing market conditions and customer preferences

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

Solar industry knowledge

Cold calling experience

Additional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Efficiently use Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office’s Excel

Strong sales conversation skills, such as actively listening and feel/felt/found objection handling

Accurate data entry

Working Conditions

  • Open-office environment
  • Some overtime may be required based on business needs
  • Some weekend days and holiday work required based on business needs

Physical Requirements

Extended periods of time at desk on phone/computer
