How You Fit In

The Head of Partnerships is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and managing relationships with key partners and channels to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. This role involves developing, managing and executing partnership strategies, optimizing channel performance, and achieving sales objectives. As Head of Partnerships you will:
Strategy Development
  • Develop and implement comprehensive partnership and channel sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business goals.
Partnership Management
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, technology/vendor partners, industry associations, and government agencies to identify collaboration pathways.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs.
  • Monitor partner performance and provide support to maximize their success and ROI.
  • Develop and deliver training and resources to channel partners to ensure effective sales and product representation.
Market Analysis & Insights
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with sales, marketing, and customer success to align partnership strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate on product launches, promotional activities, and co-marketing efforts with partners.
Reporting & Accountability
  • Track and report on partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on key metrics, progress, and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and meet partnership driven sales quotas


Skills and Qualifications

Required
  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships or channel management, with a proven track record of success.
  • 2 years of demonstrated knowledge of the regulated utility space focusing on grid modernization, electric vehicles, decarbonization and demand side management.
  • Track record of creating successful partnerships that generated solid top line revenue for the company.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating and closing strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or similar collaborations.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding business development targets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 with $100,000 target variable (uncapped)

In accordance with the California Equal Pay and Pay Transparency laws , the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.


Location
  • This is a remote role with up to 25% travel
