New Project Media (NPM) is a leading B2B data, intelligence, and events company providing business development-led market research across the US and European renewable energy industry.

NPM helps over 350 large-scale clean energy project developers, investors, lenders, advisors and corporate clients enhance their deal sourcing, peer tracking, market surveillance and origination efforts by leveraging its content to inform business decisions.

We’re looking for a Head of Finance & Accounting to help us scale our in-house finance team capabilities to help keep pace with the businesses’ overall rapid commercial growth.

Head of Finance & Accounting

This is a full-time remote role for a Head of Finance & Accounting at NPM and can be based in either the US or the UK. The role involves overseeing the financial reporting and accounting needs of NPM across its three major divisions in the US, Europe and India.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the senior management team to develop strategic growth plans, including international budgeting and forecasting for each business unit.
• Oversee and instruct the growth of the support team responsible for invoicing, payroll and local tax filings across all divisions.
• Reconciling monthly sales & commissions for payroll across multiple jurisdictions and commission plans.
• Work with external strategic tax and legal advisors to benefit our financial operations and investments.
• Implement processes that help maximize the efficiency of our systems to improve finance & accounting functions.
• Assist the senior management team to evaluate strategic capital raising, M&A or partnership opportunities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of directly related experience
• Experience with QBO, Avalara, HubSpot and benefits software (Gusto, Remote)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Team first, best-in-class mentality
• Ability to travel internationally
• CPA or CFA certification is a plus
