What you will do:

Semios + Agworld is seeking a highly knowledgeable and dynamic subject matter expert in Water and Agronomy, as a Grower Relations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role by educating and sharing insights on agronomic solutions with customers and prospects. This position requires significant community engagement and travel throughout the state to provide expert knowledge and support.

Responsibilities as follows:

Community Engagement:

  • Actively participate in local community events and agricultural gatherings.
  • Serve as a resource and collaborative partner for growers, advisors, and retailers.

Pre-Sales Function:

  • Educate potential clients on agronomy practices and Semios + Agworld products.
  • Share industry insights and trends related to agronomy.
  • Conduct consultations and field visits to assess and address customer needs.

Customer and Prospect Interaction:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Provide tailored solutions and recommendations based on customer-specific challenges.
  • Serve as an in-season resource and consultant supporting customers with subject area & product related questions.
  • Act as a technical advisor during pre-sales meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Product demonstrations will include data collection and trial management with a full customer review at the end of the season.

Product Expertise:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of Semios + Agworlds agronomy products.
  • Train internal sales teams on product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Stay updated on new product developments and industry advancements.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of after-action reports and strategic plans.
  • Participate in regular meetings with sales teams and other specialists to review performance and strategize for upcoming seasons.
  • Help develop and refine products and services based on market feedback.

Content Creation and Delivery:

  • Lead webinars, workshops, and training sessions related to best management practices in crop production.
  • Support the development of educational materials, including whitepapers, case studies, and technical guides.
  • Provide monthly regional updates and end-of-season reports to customers.

Requirements

We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • Bachelors degree in agronomy, horticulture, viticulture, environmental science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in technical agronomic support or a related field within the agriculture industry.
  • Strong understanding of crop production cycles and best management practices.
  • Experience with irrigation systems, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Experience with both on-farm sensors and remote sensing data applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience with product training and educational content development.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the State.
  • Valid drivers license and have the ability to haul and drive a 4-wheeler.
  • Preferable CCA certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hiring.
  • Other relevant certifications such as CAIS and/or CID are encouraged but not required.

This role will be an exempt salary position with a range of $78,000 -$90,000.

Please note that the base pay offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and experience, as well as geographic location.
