Position Description

Oversees the assembly of the assigned product lines and delegates the daily work assignments. Performs production work as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees the assembly of products, ensuring the highest level of quality at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards.
  • Organizes space, equipment and personnel work assignments for successful execution of the production schedule, makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Resolves routine production and personnel problems while reporting non-routine problems to supervisor,
  • May perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance, as well as set up activities to ensure compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Possesses strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use all hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of the BOM system
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Competencies

Education

  • High School diploma
  • General Education Degree

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment

Certifications Preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs)
  • Generally good working conditions.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
