Position Overview:

As a Ground Mount Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the hands-on installation of ground-mounted solar energy systems. This role requires physical strength, the ability to operate equipment such as trenchers and mini excavators, and the capability to work well within a team. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the installation of ground-mounted solar systems, including the preparation and assembly of racking and panels.
  • Dig and prepare trenches for electrical conduit installation by hand or using equipment such as trenchers and mini excavators.
  • Lift and carry solar panels, racking, and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment necessary for the installation process.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of installations.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist with site preparation and cleanup, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders and other crew members to coordinate tasks and solve problems as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in solar installation, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, digging, and operating equipment for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment used in construction and installation.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
