Position Summary

In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for promoting and facilitating the implementation of the Dover Operational Excellence Model and the supporting leadership competencies across Dover operating companies through the Sensei Program, which provides training, coaching, systems, resources, and tools to support operational excellence.

Success measures for this role will include training hours, successful learning outcomes, certifications, and other operational excellence engagement metrics.

As part of the incumbent’s duties, this position requires a maximum of 25% domestic travel and a potential for infrequent overseas travel.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability facilitate occasional on-site training and implementation workshops with a focus on foundational people, process, and technology topics.
  • Driven by a passion for innovation and creation of content, tools, delivery methods, etc. that leverage software tools and online/on-demand capabilities to increase scope and reach.
  • Expertise in gathering knowledge and insights from subject matter experts and transforming them into engaging content that can be delivered in-person, remotely, or via on-demand platforms.
  • Ability to confidently navigate a variety of manufacturing environments, global geographies and cultures, and leadership styles and business cultures with the objective of creating a “distinctly Dover” approach to learning, application, and certification.
  • Organizational and digital skills to spearhead the 0DOVER Knowledge Management efforts, both internally with the team and advising across Dover on knowledge sharing, digital content management solutions, job instruction, pay for skill incentive programs, and integration with Individual Development Plans.
  • Technical savvy to manage, maintain, and grow the Sensei Center as a Dover-wide, easily accessible knowledge base for tools, templates, best practices, and training materials.
  • Able to work independently to collaborate across cross-functional Operating Company teams to identify and prioritize training needs and develop appropriate training solutions.
  • Data-driven approach to tracking and reporting on the promotion, scheduling, registration, participation, and overall effectiveness of training programs.
  • Promote and manage cross-OpCo initiatives such as the Kaizen Engine to drive high levels of engagement and best practice sharing.
  • Special Projects and associated processes leading to Operations and Supply Chain Process Improvements and Optimization may also be assigned, but always with an associated expectation to grow OpCo talent and capability.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Operations, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience with at least 3 years of experience in training development and delivery, with an understanding of OPEX methodologies such as 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, Process Mapping, and other basic Lean tools. Experience with and certification in transactional and other advanced operational excellence tools a plus.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering on-demand and in-person training content utilizing Microsoft Office 365 and online training development tools (such as Articulate).
  • Experience using video and other media to support content development and improve engagement with learners.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners and engage teams using digital applications and SharePoint as well as in-person training.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop, measure and report on training KPIs. Experience with creating dashboards with Business Intelligence tools a plus.

Work Arrangement : Remote

Salary Range : $119,000.00 – $145,000.00
