Title: GIS Analyst/Associate

Treaty Oaks management team has a collective 50+ years experience across the critical competencies, including power markets, offtake structuring, design, engineering and real estate.

The Role

Treaty Oak is seeking a GIS Analyst. The role will be responsible for supporting land origination and development with timely and accurate geospatial data and work products. This includes acquiring, entering, translating, analyzing, interpreting, communicating and maintaining spatial and tabular data to produce professional cartographic products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Professional quality map and survey production to meet the needs of the different project departments, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with project cartographic standards and compatibility with the Document Management System.
  • Key GIS interface with contractors and stakeholders on the project: EIA, land management, development, geological, etc.
  • Provision of ad-hoc GIS support to the different project departments including spatial analysis and visualization tasks for assisting project decision making; informal training to colleagues wanting to use GIS; and providing occasional support to other GIS colleagues within the company.

Education and Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree in GIS, Geography or Computer Science. 3+ years experience providing professional GIS services.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro and associated common extensions such as 3D Analyst
  • Experience with spatial databases, principally ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases.
  • Basic competency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software. Not required but nice to have.
  • Create high quality mapping and data products using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience with other relevant systems and software will be considered as a plus, especially web GIS platforms and Renewables software.
  • General knowledge and interest in renewable energy and environmental assessment regulatory frameworks and renewable energy project development, design, and construction.
