Come join our North American team! Rosenxt Technology USA seeks to add a Geotechnical Engineer to our team in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project team in the development of geohazard technology system infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists on geospatial data acquisition, geotechnical analysis and geohazard assessments for critical infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the development of predictive machine learning models and data-driven algorithms for geohazard management.
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets from various sources (such as geotechnical instrumentation, drone-based tools and remote sensing), and integrate them into cloud-based system infrastructure.
  • Assist in preparing reports, technical documents, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Stay current with advancements in geotechnical engineering, data science, and machine learning to contribute to ongoing company innovation.
  • Participate in general team responsibilities and perform other related duties as required.

Essential Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geosciences.
  • 1 3 years of applicable experience (internship or project experience can be included).
  • Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of basic geomorphology, and ground instability mechanisms.
  • Experience with data processing and analytics using Python and GIS.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their applications in engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel to Columbus, Ohio a few times a year for team workshops and meetings.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills

  • Advanced degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Masters or PhD).
  • Experience with GIS and spatial data analysis tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Knowledge of remote sensing technologies and their application in geohazard monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based computing and data storage solutions (e.g. Azure).
  • Understanding of climate change impacts on geohazards and infrastructure resilience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
