Geospatial Data Engineer

Location: Remote (US Citizens Only)

Salary – $100K – $140K + Benefits

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Geospatial Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with cutting-edge geospatial technologies to manage, analyze, and visualize spatial data, playing a critical role in driving decision-making and supporting innovative energy projects. Key Responsibilities:

– Develop spatial analytics software to enhance renewable energy infrastructure projects.

– Design and operate automated data processing pipelines.

– Support infrastructure project developers with data and analytic solutions.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new products and solutions.

– Engage in innovative research methodologies related to energy storage, hydrogen, and transmission development.

Requirements:

– Expertise in open-source geospatial tools (e.g., Python, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, GDAL/OGR, GeoPandas).

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.

– Experience in collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.

– Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus if you have:

– Experience in the energy sector.

– Familiarity with software development practices such as Git, Jira, and Agile.

– Interest in cloud computing technologies.
