General Laborer Looking to Join Apprenticeship Program

The General Laborer touches all aspects of the projects we install, from roof mounted solar systems to solar farms. You will be required to help others construct solar systems, working on such things as digging, job site clean-up, constructing racking and installing solar modules. We are looking for someone with framing and general construction experience including the erection of steel for solar carports. You must be whiling to join an apprenticeship program that will be paid for by OE Solar. This is a great position for anyone interested in learning more about renewable energy and acquiring the necessary skills needed to start a new career in the solar industry. Wage is DOE.

Responsibilities

• Installation of Concrete Foundations
• Install steel pillars
• Operate heavy Equipment
• Helping install Commercial solar electric systems.
• Installation of EV Charging Stations
• Reliability and professionalism will be required on a daily basis
• Participate in training and meetings
• Work with a high level of quality and integrity
• Layout and assembly of solar modules, array and mounting hardware
• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
• Follow safe work practices
• Clean-up of job site
• Continuously develop skills.
• Safely and legally operate personal vehicle and OE Solar vehicles
• Get jobs done in allotted time to meet schedule and wear all PPE

Requirements

• Comfortable using power tools and being on roofs
• Must have your own hand tools
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work within a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must have concrete, roofing, framing and general construction experience
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work
• Must have a valid NM driver’s license
• Must be able to pass background check
• Must be whiling to join an apprenticeship program
• Willing to travel within the state of NM based on the needs of the business
