Job Description

Signal Energy is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Solar General Laborers. This entry-level position offers a great opportunity to start a career in the growing solar industry. As a Solar General Laborer, you will play a vital role in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems, working alongside experienced professionals to ensure the successful completion of solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of solar panels and related equipment on ground-mounted systems.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at the job site.
  • Perform basic assembly and construction tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Support the solar installation team with various tasks, including site preparation, panel installation, trenching, and mounting as well as other tasks.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to develop skills in solar installation and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in construction, roofing, or general labor is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitively bending and lifting heavy objects, walking long distances, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and team leads.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
  • This position requires the ability to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
  • Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
  • This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other. construction-related hazards.
