Position: Journeyman/Foreman Electrician (Residential Solar)

About This Role:

As a Journeyman Foreman, your job duties will include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting solar system components for electrical errors, offering support to install teams, oversee electrical connection between solar system and the grid, communicate with different teams or homeowners for necessary repairs, and more. We are looking for a Foreman who can initiate electrical installation and ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Electrician is responsible for the successful installation of solar electrical equipment for photovoltaic systems
  • Certified OSHA/OSHA10/30 preferred
  • Working knowledge of the NEC required and local AHJ requirements
  • Provide training to wiring technicians
  • The electrician will be responsible for reading and fully understanding design drawings
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting for solar systems and resolve electrical issues
  • Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC & DC)
  • Communicate with inspectors, utility companies and customers
  • Work cooperatively with team members to complete residential solar installations
  • Perform supply side interconnections, upgrades, running conduit, load shifting, trenching
  • Interface with leadership to ensure compliance with electrician / labor ratios and continuing education requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years electrical experience
  • Ability to work well with others in a supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Able to work an adjusting schedule and respond to emergencies
  • Extraordinarily strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Willing to lead and develop apprentices
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements ( This role requires a valid Drivers License and clean MVR to drive a company vehicles.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders
  • Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs. routinely (Daily)
  • Ability to work in 0-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions
  • Ability to move around for prolonged periods. standing, kneeling, bending, Squat and climbing ladders (Daily)
  • 8 -10 hour shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 60 per week
