Job Summary:

The Field Technician I is responsible for installing, adjusting, and maintaining wind towers, remote sensing equipment or solar stations. This position requires frequent travel and all work is performed outdoors at job sites across the country.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic technical services at a customer site or in the field
  • Clean, maintain, and inventory company owned tools and equipment
  • Frequent travel
  • Possess beginning working knowledge of subject matter
  • Follow direction from lead technician
  • Safely operates heavy machinery
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools
  • Contribute during the planning phase of the project
  • Act professionally in remote areas, on active construction sites and in the office
  • Maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work across several software and computer programs including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Slack, and Box
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • No previous experience required; we will train you!

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to perform manual labor outside safely
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 12 hours a day

Compensation:

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Base pay $19.00 – $22.00/hour. When traveling, daily per diem & substantial overtime.

Take-home pay ranges $55,000 – $65,000 annually (with overtime – $26.44 – 31.25/hr).

Work Location:

  • Must be able to commute 5-10 days per month to Headquarters in Niwot, CO
  • 50% Travel required
