Power Systems Field Service Technician OR Customer Service Engineer OR NETA Tech

Location: D.C.

Renowned for its top-tier industrial offerings, this well respected company is experiencing consistent expansion, serving a dedicated clientele including Fortune 100 companies while actively broadening its customer base. In this role, you will be responsible for performing startup, commissioning, service, testing, and preventive maintenance on power distribution equipment. This can include static transfer switches, power distribution equipment, and remote power panels. Depending on your skill set, this could also include relays and PLCs. If you are an SME, the role could be hired in at a more advanced level with a larger pay scale as well.

You will also provide customer support while on-site and via email and phone, maintaining timely and detailed service records.

Additionally, you will be expected to provide emergency response for critical incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Service experience with various electrical power systems
  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read diagrams/schematics
  • Safety awareness and knowledge of electrical PPE
  • Clean MVR is a must
  • US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status

Optimal Experience For Consideration Will Also Include

  • Associate degree in electrical field, OR
  • Electronics/electrical training from military service OR
  • Vast experience working in the field on Mission Critical Power related electrical systems including PDUs, switchgear, ATS, STS, and UPS with hands on knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory OR
  • NETA or NICET Certification
