Job Title: Senior Field Engineer – Switchgear Testing Manager Job Type: Remote with 50% travel required.

Full Time, Direct Hire Opportunity

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer specializing in switchgear testing and modification. In this role, you will manage complex field projects, coordinate site activities, and ensure effective communication with customers. Your expertise in Autocad, PLC programming, and protection relays will help you succeed in this position. The ideal candidate will also provide remote support, training, and guidance to field engineers, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and approve Autocad drawings for projects.
  • Modify and retrofit generator switchgear controllers and control wiring configurations.
  • Manage and execute paralleling switchgear retrofits with or without PLC controls.
  • Program and modify protection relays, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Oversee on-site coordination and communication with customers.
  • Provide technical support and BMS configuration.
  • Conduct customer training on complex systems.

Qualifications:

  • NETA Certification, IR Scan Certification.
  • Extensive experience in low and medium voltage equipment testing and retrofits.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in switchgear and ATS, or a relevant engineering degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in manual and automatic paralleling switchgear operations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
