UPM Raflatac is looking for Field Service Engineer in the West Coast area of the United States who will be responsible for technical sales and support. You will be a member of the Americas sales team that shares the same annual targets. The Field Service Engineer will provide technical expertise and solutions to customers and end-users and supports internally Customer Sales & Support Team, Field Sales, and Customer Service in the sales and inquiries of technically complex products and special products.

Coordinate customer projects including the first screening of assigned customer inquiries with initial technical feasibility study and cost assessment, provide label converting and application expertise

Take part in the sales of technically complex range products, support new product launches and promote UPM Raflatac products and service offer

Target homologation of UPM Raflatac products wherever applicable at converters and end users, provide product solutions for tailored and menu products, excluding projects, where Product Managers provide the solutions Organize product trainings locally to Field Sales, Customer Service, and Sales & Support Team and externally to customers and end users

Handle customer remarks and claims whenever Field Sales, Customer Sales & Support Team, Customer Service, or Operations need technical support, act as a link between customer and production sites in solving technically complex cases (no solution or unjustified) and support the overall quality level improvement of the factories

Collect and share information internally about the latest industry solutions and technologies

Contribute to build up the in-depth company intelligence about label converting, printing, die-cutting and dispensing, initiate development projects with local Original Equipment Manufacturers

Develop companys brand relations and end use initiatives, Support Claims related lab activities and responsibilities, become proficient in Raflatac systems with the ability to gather and interpret data related to potential customer issues

You have a university degree in relevant field, min. 5 years of experience in a similar role or field

You have a customer focus and communicates effectively

You have a proven ability to build networks within the industry

You can plan and align activities to see a project through to completion

You have experience or knowledge of the packaging or labelling industry and market, especially in the Wine, Beverage and/or Food labelling market

You have experience troubleshooting printing and converting processes and labelling application equipment

You have the capability to train others and transfer knowledge

Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish is desired

Location: Home Office in California, Oregon, or Washington near a major airport
Salary range: 86,000 to 115,000 USD annual
Offering: 401k retirement plan, medical, dental and vision benefits, 52 hours of paid time off, 80 hours of paid holidays, 52 hours of paid sick time. Hired applicant will be able to participate in annual bonus program.
Varied work hours and travel requirements: Ability to travel 50-60% of the time, including overnight as needed. Some travel may be on short notice.
