The purpose of this position is to work with Sales and PM functions to interpret EV charging requirements and create an EV charging proposal to customers (CPOs, OEMs, etc.) that includes hardware, EMS software, and services.

  • Evaluate customer’s application requirements and assist Sales and Product Management to create proposals including hardware, software, and services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Front-end Sales, Engineers both locally and in Asia, Product Managers, Service support team, and factory as needed to ensure customers requirements are met.
  • Provide technical customer interface and support during pre and post award activities
  • as subject matter expert for Delta’s EV charging products and EMS software.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relevant to EVSE products to fulfill job responsibilities. Benchmark current and future solutions against other market offerings.
  • Provide onsite customer support and training as needed.
  • Ability to perform system level testing and user operability testing for AC & DC chargers at our Plano, TX testing lab to ensure compliance to industry standards.
  • Knowledge of OCCP Protocols

Prepare SOW or MOP documents when required.

Job Experience:

Required:

5+ years of work experience in EV charging industry or power electronics

Technical/ Professional skills:

Required:

• Engineering and Technology; knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production.

• Mechanical; knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

• Computers and Electronics; knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

• Demonstrate advance proficiency with computer software to include MS Office & e-mail.

General skills (language, IT, etc.):

Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
