About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager for our solar panel recycling start-up facility in Cedartown, Georgia. This position is based in Cedartown, with some travel to our Odessa, Texas facility. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing the building/site, facilities systems, and utility infrastructure for manufacturing facilities, as well as project management for various building, facilities and utility infrastructure expansions/upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of the building and site, including facilities equipment, machinery, and utility infrastructure.
  • Oversee building, facilities and utility system upgrades, renovations, and expansions as needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Manage utility supply to the factory, including interface with utility providers.
  • Manage the Facilities maintenance staff, providing training, guidance, and support as needed.
  • Manage outsourced services for security, janitorial, landscaping, pest control, Fire alarm and sprinkler system, etc
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and analyze facility performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage Facilities opex and capex budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and safety, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities management of manufacturing facilities, with a strong understanding of maintenance, operations and project management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, and facility management software and tools.
