Job Overview

As a key member of the senior management team, this position provides leadership to the operational/manufacturing functions throughout the world and will be responsible for on-time customer deliveries and supply chain management, purchasing and inventory management, product quality assurance and overall manufacturing strategy to support the global initiatives of the corporation.

This role will support the Functional Unit leaders in accomplishing their respective operational targets. In addition, EVP Operations works with the finance department to ensure profitability for all operations, as well as overall motivation and development of the workforce underneath their direct control. The position is co-responsible with the Functional Unit Leaders and General Managers for the global organization’s profit and loss and will help each region/functional unit fine tune their manufacturing/operational processes to ensure the highest level of output per facility and business and generation of group synergies.

This position reports to the CEO with a matrixed responsibility with the Functional Unit Presidents and General Managers regarding production across the organization’s global Functional Units. This role is a senior position in the group corporate structure with focus on delivering operational excellence through efficient, effective, and agile organizational structure.

Directly manages other activities in the corporate structure such as Environmental, Health, & Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities Management, Project Management, Administration, and Information Technology.

Locations: primary domestic operations are in Southern California and Nevada, and frequent international travel is required.

Annual Salary: $164,270 to $358,924 plus bonus opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Full functional accountability for policy and process, structure, and definitions throughout the world in alignment with Functional Unit objectives.
  • Legal Chairmanship of Nikkiso CE&IG International Product Companies as defined by CEO of NCEIG.
  • Work with Functional Unit Presidents and GMs in developing business strategies regarding operations and business planning.
  • Together with the Functional Unit Presidents, GMs, and the Finance Department, responsible for the achievement of annual budget and forecast for order intake and expenses.
  • Ensure the overall Profit and Loss and Profit Margins of the organization are achieved by focusing on utilization and absorption.
  • Manage, maintain, and build strong relationships with customers and partners as required.
  • Maximize customer value and satisfaction by providing sound solutions and meeting our customer commitments.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved, including urgent response to enquiries and proper handling of customer feedback.
  • Ensure and maintain the quality of products and services. Works to structure a Quality organization to achieve our objective of triple ISO certification and manage execution sustainably.
  • Participate in regional strategic development of the business.
  • Serve as a key player in all expansion/consolidation activities (investments, mergers and acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.), and consolidation of units to leverage operations and resources.
  • Promote all policies in support of our ‘One Nikkiso’ culture and vision and ensure compliance with our ‘Blue Book’.
  • Effectively retain, lead, motivate, and develop employees. Build relationships across departments to enhance employee engagement and build company culture.
  • Work in cooperation with EVP HR on Talent Management Program. Retain “A” Performers and drive NCEIG Group succession planning.
  • Make constant improvement of internal processes and procedures for all production units throughout the world.
  • Drive operational excellence through business automation, quality and sharing of best practices throughout the world by facilitating effective communication across all businesses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, management or equivalent. Master’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong manufacturing/operations skills across a significant number of manufacturing facilities globally with a minimum of 15 years of progressively successful and complex manufacturing environments. (Experience and knowledge in Cryogenic Equipment is a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence through rigorous cost management, systems development, process improvements and focus on capital/inventory efficiency. Experience driving a winning culture of dependability, innovation, interaction, and safety.
  • Deep experience and understanding of a matrixed organization is a must.
  • Demonstrated success as an organizational change agent driving a continuous improvement culture aligned with business principles.
  • Demonstrated achievement of operational and financial results through improvement of safety, quality, costs, and on time delivery.
  • Strong financial acumen, with depth of understanding P&Ls, income statements, balance sheets, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership results in coaching, counseling, training, mentoring, promoting, and retaining top talent.
  • Experienced individual with a proven track record in driving operational excellence and business growth and successful leadership in an engineered product manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to respond quickly to changing market requirements.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and business development.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and establishing measurable, quantifiable performance metrics.
