Job Summary:

The Equity Analyst will assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive process for managing the company’s private equity program within the United States and Canada. This position will be responsible to foster awareness, understanding, and engagement with eligible team members by creating educational materials and communications in support of the equity programs. The Equity Analyst will partner with Finance, executives, and external partners to ensure the successful execution and adherence to the equity program guidelines. This role must demonstrate technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and interpersonal skills to ensure the effective management and communication of the company’s equity programs.

In this role, you will:

  • Administer the US and Canadian equity programs, including equity grants, stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), deferred stock units (DSUs), synthetic equity, and other equity-based awards.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to equity grants, participant information, vesting schedules, and transactions.
  • Lead the creation of educational materials, including trainings, workshops, presentations, and written resources, to promote awareness and understanding of equity programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for team members with equity compensation related questions.
  • Communicate equity program details, changes, and updates to team members and stakeholders. Provide guidance to team members on equity compensation, including tax implications, vesting schedules, and exercising options.
  • Maintains the equity management system including records of vesting schedules, exercise history, and processing.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of equity programs with company policies and objectives.
  • Partner with external vendors, consultants, and legal counsel as needed for plan administration and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to streamline equity program administration.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to equity program administration.
  • Support Ad-hoc projects related to equity management and human resources as needed.

Skills/abilities:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (human resources, business administration, finance or a related field, preferred.)
  • Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in private stock equity compensation administration or a related field.
  • Experience with equity management software/system.
  • Strong understanding of private stock equity compensation plans, stock option agreements, RSUs and synthetic equity.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Effective prioritization of tasks and time management to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to summarize complex analysis and develop recommendations for an executive audience.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills required: Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Carta software experience.
