Position Overview:

As an Environmental & Wildlife Research & Conservation Intern, you will play a critical role in supporting the environmental studies related to our solar development project. You will assist in conducting research, monitoring local wildlife, and developing conservation strategies to ensure that the project aligns with our commitment to environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities:

Research & Data Collection:

·        Assist in conducting field surveys to monitor local wildlife populations and habitats.

·        Support the preparation of environmental impact reports and documentation.

Wildlife Monitoring & Conservation:

·        Participate in the design and implementation of wildlife conservation strategies that minimize the impact of the solar project on local ecosystems.

·        Assist in the identification and protection of sensitive species and habitats within the project area.

·        Collaborate with local environmental organizations and agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

Community Outreach & Education:

·        Help develop educational materials and programs to raise awareness about the environmental and wildlife conservation aspects of the solar project.

·        Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and foster support for the project.

Qualifications:

·        Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Conservation Science, or a related field.

·        Strong interest in renewable energy, wildlife conservation, and environmental sustainability.

·        Experience or coursework in field research, data collection, and environmental impact assessment is a plus.

·        Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·        Ability to work independently in outdoor settings and handle physically demanding tasks.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with GIS or other mapping software is a bonus.

The expected compensation for this position, at commencement of employment, is $ 15/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
