Position Summary

Engineering Program Manager

  • Plan, execute and deliver multiple engineering projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Support the development of processes to better facilitate the management of activities and handoffs between stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project plans, project schedules, and project budgets.
  • Develop and maintain master integrated schedule to track Engineering resource loading across all Engineering activities
  • Identify and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, and develop mitigation plans to address them.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, including engineering, projects, sales, product, and quality assurance teams.
  • Coordinate project activities with external partners and suppliers.
  • Coordinate the handoff from Product Management to Engineering for Product development activities..
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure that project requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Ensure that all engineering projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead regular project status meetings and provide regular updates to project stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, and develop their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications (Education & Work Experience)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects, from conception to delivery.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Smartsheets is a plus.
  • Experience in the power industry is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project

Certificates/Licenses

  • PE License (preferred)
  • PMP or PgMP (preferred)

The national pay range for this role is $121,500 – $145,000 / year and is considered a Level M3 – Professional Manager role. This pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in an annual discretionary bonus.
