Job Description

Title – Engineering Manager

Location – Washington D.C. Metro Area

Salary – $140,000 – $160,000 + Bonus

We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager to join our team. This role will require candidate’s to be located within the Washington D.C. Metro Area.

In this role, you will support the new development and optimization of of Commercial & Small Utility Scale Renewable energy systems, typically up to 20MW.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the design of Solar and Solar + Storage Projects, ensuring efficient and effective system layouts, sometimes up to as built designs.
  • Lead the team for energy modeling, providing accurate predictions of system output and performance. Understanding of PVsyst software.
  • Oversee 4-8 designers/engineers on the team, and their solar/BESS designs, sometimes all the way up to as-built stage.
  • Conduct technical analysis to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to ensure compliance with project requirements, collaborating with various teams such as development, construction and occasionally O&M.

Qualifications:

  • 7-8 years of work experience leading electrical engineering projects. (5 years if electrical engineering experience was with specifically within Renewable Energy
  • Experience or willingness transition engineering experience, into Renewable Energy based software’s such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or Helioscope preferred.
  • Positive attitude with an eagerness to continue learning in an evolving industry with a dynamic knowledgeable team!
