Steven Winter Associates, Inc. (SWA) is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Energy Engineer with a strong background in mechanical and HVAC systems. This role, based in NYC within our Building Operations, Decarbonization & Efficiency (BODE) team, involves conducting traditional energy audits, leading the development and implementation of energy management projects, and managing decarbonization feasibility studies. You will also provide retrofit consulting services to help clients comply with New York City Local Law 97s carbon-emission reduction mandates. The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 – $120,000, based on a 40-hour work week. Final salary will depend on the candidate’s skills and experience.

Qualifications:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to type, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to climb stairs, use elevators and exterior construction hoists, and may be exposed to cold and hot interior and exterior temperatures for extended periods of time (when in the field).
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional overnight travel may be required (Less than 10%). Frequent local field visits in the Metro area will be necessary (approximately 40-50%). A valid and clean driving license is required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: This is a hybrid position. Most of the duties will be performed in an home or office environment. The remainder of the duties will be performed in the field which will involve trips to projects sites for observation and training.
