Required Skills:

“A power systems engineer / electrical engineer with 15 years of recent experience in analyzing grid systems and renewable energy integration, including with battery energy storage. Experience should include, integration of renewable energy sources in the U.S. and with developing countries, experience integrating battery energy storage systems and conducting site reviews, experience with technical standards and requirements, such as NIST, distributed energy resources (DER), cost analysis for technology alternatives, stochastic and deterministic modeling approaches, load and fuel cost forecasting. Familiarity with current and developing regulations and technical norms for DER is necessary and ability to write technical reports required. Experience supporting the commissioning of battery energy storage systems preferred. Our team of technical and consulting specialists provides advice to utitilies, regulators, and governments across the globe on how to integrate battery systems into their grid technologies.

Prepare and present analytical reports with adequate conclusions and recommendations for how to solve technical problems of the customer as required.

Participate in customer meetings as local technical advisor when needed.”

Preferred Skills: “Experience advising utilities how to improve system operation with increased DER and automation/smart technologies , is strongly encouraged. International experience is strongly preferred.

Application of Electrical/Power Systems knowledge to identify & drive solutions for large scale utility projects. MV Transformers, Switchgear and protection solutions are required.

Ability to provide strong written analytical reports and advice via trainings. “

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

Providing technical expertise, developing reports, advising senior officials, developing trainings and workshops, some international travel may be requeired

Education: Preferred Masters in Engineering or Economics
