Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced
Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and components to required specifications. You will work on a wide range of projects and ensure that all systems are safe, reliable, and efficient. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and components for various applications, ensuring they meet performance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop schematics, layouts, and electrical drawings using CAD software.
- Perform simulations and analysis to optimize designs for performance, cost, and safety.
Project Management:
- Lead and contribute to electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and present project reports, specifications, and documentation.
Testing and Validation:
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety.
- Implement and verify compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulations in IEC, NEC, NFPA.
- Analyze test data and make recommendations for design adjustments or improvements.
Innovation and Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve electrical engineering problems by applying technical knowledge and creativity.
- Explore and incorporate emerging technologies and innovative solutions into designs.
- Continuously improve existing electrical systems by enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving reliability.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the engineering process.
- Work with quality assurance teams to perform inspections and tests, ensuring products meet high-quality criteria.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant local, national, and international codes and standards.
- Implement safety systems and procedures to prevent electrical hazards in project development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience 3-5 years in electrical design and engineering, particularly in specific industries or sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software AutoCAD, SolidWorks for electrical design and layout.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, systems, and components circuits, transformers, power distribution in medical devices.
- Experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards NEC, IEC, NFPA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with renewable energy systems (e.g., solar, wind) or advanced power systems.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, automation systems, and control systems.
- Experience in safety-critical industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, healthcare).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies for continuous improvement.
