Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Electrical System Design: Fully develop electrical system designs for solar (PV) and BESS energy projects from concept to IFC.

Interconnection: Coordinate and manage the interconnection process with utilities and grid operators, from interconnection submittal to COD.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all electrical systems meet relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for electrical engineering tasks.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges related to electrical systems and develop mitigation strategies.

Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control checks to ensure the reliability and performance of electrical systems.

Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues during project construction and operation phases.

Documentation: Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions for improving project efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
- 3-5+ years track record of experience as an electrical engineer, preferably in Utility-scale renewable energy in PJM. Engineers with experience in other industries and locales will also be considered.
- Experience with design/build construction.
- Excellent financial skills and ability to analyze financial impacts of engineering requirements and challenges.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with strong initiative.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst) and in Microsoft Office.
