DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for a Director of Project Finance. This role reports to the SVP of Partner Finance and M&A and is a key contributor and leader in accelerating DEPCOM’s sales and profitability through deployment of Tax Equity, Project Financing, and/or M&A activities.

This role can be based remotely within the U.S. or in Scottsdale, AZ.

This role does not provide VISA sponsorship.

Our Team

The DEPCOM Power Partner Finance Team specializes in crafting innovative finance solutions to support and compliment the company’s growth in the renewable energy sector. With expertise in structuring deals, assessing risks, and optimizing capital structures, the team plays a pivotal role in enabling strategic investments and partnerships that drive sustainable value creation.

What You Will Do

  • Originate opportunities to deploy tax investment into renewable projects.
  • Evaluate business opportunities, lead valuation, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead commercial structuring and negotiations in support of tax equity and M&A opportunities
  • Participate in and support project valuation, due diligence, and drive internal approvals
  • Work alongside DEPCOM and Koch Finance, Tax, Sales, and Engineering teams to ensure teamwork and shared understanding across organization

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Knowledge of renewable energy project financing and tax investment structures
  • Knowledge of solar and/or energy storage project development activities and risks
  • Knowledge of renewable energy project due diligence
  • Knowledge of US energy (power) regional markets, regulatory and market structures, and market drivers
  • Knowledge of renewable energy project valuation and financial models and methodologies
  • Domestic travel (10-20% estimated)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in originating and structuring Project Finance and Tax Equity transactions
  • Experience in valuation and financial modeling of renewable energy projects
  • Experience in project or platform M&A transactions involving renewable assets
  • Experience in leading a team of business analysts, consultants, and legal support

For this role, we anticipate paying $175,000 – $250,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
