Position Overview:

The Director of Product Management will play a pivotal role in driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our energy storage and EV charging solutions. This role requires a seasoned product management professional with a strong background in hardware product development and a proven track record of leading and mentoring product managers. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and the ability to translate market needs into innovative and commercially successful products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and market trends in the energy storage and EV charging sectors.
• Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of hardware product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and tools needed to succeed.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch support. Ensure products meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
• Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and risks. Use insights to drive product differentiation and innovation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, operations, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and successful product execution.
• Customer Focus: Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development process, ensuring that products meet customer needs and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Financial Acumen: Manage product budgets and P&L, ensuring that financial targets are met. Drive cost optimization and profitability across the product portfolio.
• Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards in the energy storage and EV charging industries. Ensure products comply with all necessary certifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing hardware product teams. Experience in the energy storage, EV charging, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in hardware product development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and make informed technical decisions.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing product management teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate market trends into actionable product strategies.
• Customer-Centric: Deep understanding of customer needs and a passion for delivering innovative and high-quality products.
• Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including experience with product P&L and budgeting.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and certification processes, including UL standards and other relevant certifications.
