Position Overview:

TGRC are working with a leading IPP that has a large development pipeline of renewable energy projects looking to expand their project execution team

.
The Director of Procurement will lead and manage the procurement of critical equipment for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This role focuses on crafting and executing procurement strategies, securing reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of equipmen

t.

  • ent.Develop and implement contracting strategies for major equipment procurement, ensuring alignment with project objectives and risk profi
  • les.Contribute to both conceptual and detailed design proces
  • ses.Manage the entire RFP process to identify the most suitable suppliers for major equipment and servi
  • ces.Act as the primary contact for the RFP bidding process, handling scheduling, Q&A sessions, response deadlines, proposal reviews, and supplier feedb
  • ack.Evaluate bids, qualify vendors based on criteria such as quality, cost, and contractual terms, and provide recommendations to senior managem
  • ent.Collaborate closely with Development, Commercial, EPC, and Interconnection teams to ensure cohesive equipment select
  • ion.Work with legal counsel to draft and manage equipment supply agreements, ensuring compliance with market standards and project requireme
  • nts.Oversee post-contract management to ensure all obligations are met on time, within budget, and according to specificati
  • ons.Stay informed about renewable energy opportunities and industry trends in the U.S., particularly those affecting wind, solar, and BESS developm
  • ent.Monitor and manage risks associated with the renewable energy equipment supply chain, developing effective mitigation strateg
  • ies.Keep up to date with technology advancements and cost projections for major wind, solar, and storage equipm

Qualificat

  • ions:
    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field is pref
  • erred.A minimum of 5 years of experience with a leading independent power producer (IPP), utility, or renewable energy deve
  • loper.Proven success in wind, solar, and renewable energy project develo
  • pment.Extensive experience in sourcing and procuring major equipment for solar, wind, and energy storage pro
  • jects.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize key
  • tasks.3 to 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, particularly in wind and solar pro
  • jects.Experience leading multiple power generation projects through the entire lifecycle is pref
  • erred.Strong skills in process and project manag
