Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs PJM Region | Remote | $165,000 – $180,000

* You must live in, or be able to relocate to PA, NY, NJ, MD, DE to apply for this role*

This is an exciting opportunity to enter a heavily capitalized, PE-backed, Battery Energy Storage developer as they look to rapidly expand utility scale BESS projects across the US.

The candidate will be responsible for establishing policy positions in key PJM states, taking the lead on drafting state filings, monitoring state and federal clean energy incentive and RFP programs, and attending meetings and managing activities in the PJM stakeholder processes

A key function will be representing my client at PJM, the PJM States, FERC, and DOE, in addition to participating in industry trade groups, collaborating with affiliated portfolio companies, and building industry coalitions with other like-minded organizations to advance policy priorities

What do you need to have?

• 8+ years experience within the regulatory arena with extensive experience in PJM
• Strong experience and proven skills in understanding the regulatory process at state, RTO/ISOs and FERC
• Exceptional analytical skills in understanding policy impacts to energy development and pricing.
• Communication skills: ability to develop and deliver concise powerful messages verbally, in writing, and in presentations.
• Educated to degree level
