Controller (bilingual)

Summary:

Working closely with the Finance Director, Kingspan Americas, the LATAM Controller will provide a high level of oversight, support, and guidance to the individual businesses, and support the M&A agenda. The Controller will also enhance the quality of reporting on the overall performance of the LATAM businesses, including their progress towards the achievement of key Group-driven non-financial metrics.

This is an in-office position in the Fort Lauderdale area

Responsibilities:

• Ensure reporting is in line with Group policies, including the Group Accounting Manual, with 100% compliance for all reporting deadlines
• Ensure a strong controls culture within each business, including strict compliance with Kingspan’s internal control requirements
• Ensure consistency of reporting across the businesses, including continued development of reporting templates, monitoring of comparable KPIs, sharing best practice
• Perform routine analyses of financial and operating KPIs across the businesses – working capital, cash generation, manufacturing variances, overheads etc., with recommendations for improvement
• Monitor margin trends within the businesses, understanding the dynamic between selling prices, discounts, COGs etc.
• Management of the Divisional overheads, including its allocation to the businesses
• Assistance for Internal Audit preparation and action point follow up across the different businesses
• Assist with the preparation for the external statutory audits, liaise with the external audits throughout the audit process, and ensure that there a high-quality process throughout
• Create reporting templates to capture procurement activity across the businesses (steel, chemical, aluminum, transport etc.), benchmarking performance, sharing best practice
• Ensure alignment across the businesses on progress towards Planet Passionate, and monitor performance against Group targets
• Ensure that the People Passionate initiative is embedded within the business, with meaningful systems, processes and management approaches aimed at achieving an excellent workplace experience for all
• Participate in the Strategic Planning Process & alignment of strategic modelling in the businesses
• Ad hoc project work e.g., developing and driving manufacturing variances reporting across the entities, analysis of key issues arising, assisting on remediating underlying issues
• Participate in all M&A activity, monitoring the due diligence process and supporting the creation of the business plan; also drive the post-acquisition integration process
• Benchmark the structure of the finance functions, ensure that the required roles and skills sets exist within each business, and that there is a pipeline of talent coming through
• Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new finance staff, with a comprehensive introduction to the broader Kingspan Group

Education and Experience:

• BA in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering Management, or a closely related field
• CPA licensed or CPS track preferred
• Ideally Big 4 background, with minimum of 3 years supervisory experience with manufacturing clients
• Some industry experience in manufacturing is preferred but not essential

• Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point) and Outlook. Excel experience must be beyond basic formatting – an advanced level of comfort with large data sets, PIVOT tables and formulas is required
• Must be comfortable with business systems and applications, and be ‘tech savvy’
• Fluency in Spanish required; proficiency in Portuguese an advantage
• Comfortable with regular travel.
