Position Overview
The CS (Customer Service) Repair Production Technician is a new position created due to LG Energy Solutions rapid growth within the North American residential battery energy storage market. Reporting to the Residential teams CS Planning Manager, the Repair Production Technician will be responsible for operating and supporting the repair operations in our ASC (Authorized Service Centers) and DSC (Direct Service Center) as directed by the Residential CS Team Leader. This position is based out of our Irvine, CA office.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate the repair production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor machine and tool performance to ensure smooth operation and make adjustments as necessary under the guidance of the Repair Production Supervisor.
  • Inspect products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues promptly to minimize waste and maintain product integrity.
  • Assemble components or parts into finished products per production requirements.
  • Package finished products appropriately, ensuring they are ready for shipment or distribution.
  • Handle raw materials and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels for refurbished production.
  • Transport materials between storage areas and repair production lines using forklifts or other equipment.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Report issues and share information promptly and clearly, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Conduct quality checks and record production data.
  • Participate in training sessions for new procedures or equipment.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Support ad-hoc reports and tasks.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Basic mechanical skills and aptitude and familiarity with operating machinery.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
  • Physical ability to stand, lift and move objects on a regular basis throughout the work day.
  • Proficient communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
