Job Description

One80 Solar is a professional solar energy firm focused on the development, design & engineering, construction, and operation of commercial, industrial, and small utility-scale solar power plants. We are headquartered in San Antonio and service clients nationwide.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Solar Energy Construction Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of our commercial solar projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a passion for driving projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction Management: Lead all aspects of commercial solar construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and project teams to align objectives and deliverables.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and building codes.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, negotiate contracts, and authorize expenditures to maximize financial efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Site Management: Oversee on-site construction activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Necessary Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience
  • Certification: PMP, CCM, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to anticipate and resolve issues effectively.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the solar industry,
  • Familiarity with IT and data communications
