American Energy Storage Innovations, Inc. has an opening for a Component Engineer contractor in Hudson, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:
The Component Engineer Contractor is the engineering resource providing technical support for component part selections at American Energy Storage Innovations, Inc. (AESI) Hudson. This includes all electronic parts, sensors, connectors, and other components that may be used in the product lines. This position includes support for Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service.
Responsibilities:
- Use component lifecycle tools to evaluate electrical and mechanical components and identify Form fit and Function alternates.
- Collect and load component compliance specifications Reach/ROHS/PROP 65 in PLM compliance data module.
- Perform Analysis of Component for Lifecyle and availability.
- Create Engineering Changes documentation and support change implementation.
- Support for supplier chain management and procurement activities to identify alternate vendors.
- Work with engineers on new products to ensure all component selections are available and will meet production requirements.
- Investigate new technologies that may be applicable to current products.
- Collaborate with the other AESI divisions on alternate parts, component issues and strategies.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent degree
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in Component Engineering.
- Working knowledge of electronics design and part reliability.
- Experience of electronics EDA tools.
- Experience of Component lifecycle software; Silicon Expert or equivalent
- Experience of Product Lifecycle Management (Arena) or equivalent.
- Experience working with ERP is a plus.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Word/Excel/SharePoint is preferred.
- Able to work in a flexible team environment.
