POSTION DESCRIPTION

We are excited to add a Compensation & Equity Manager to our growing People team. A successful candidate will love the challenge of synthesizing data to tell a story and be able to develop strategic and practical solutions to rewards questions that challenge established norms. The ideal candidate will have a knack for simplifying the complex and take a consultative approach to effectively influence a wide variety of stakeholders. Combining data and feedback from across FBN with the latest industry research, this individual will make large-scale, data-driven decisions that will have a huge impact.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an accurate database of FBN roles and compensation benchmarks through market pricing of new roles and regular updates to existing benchmarks based on market data.
  • Clearly define and manage the annual rewards calendar for compensation planning cycles for base pay, incentives and equity distribution leveraging Workday, including a wider roll out of FBN’s Market Pay philosophy
  • Set annual stock guidelines for new hires and refresh grants
  • Manage annual equity refresh grant cycle leveraging Workday to include leadership buy in, training and communication planning
  • Manage equity share utilization, burn rate, pool and Compensation Committee preparations
  • Ensure global compensation survey participation and establish regular market benchmarking processes that inform the competitiveness of total pay across the organization
  • Advanced technical depth and ability to lead either design of sales incentives for a diverse direct salesforce -or- global broad based and executive equity programs (design and forecast burn rate, dilution, etc for Compensation Committee reporting)
  • Provide subject matter expertise and accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate HR Business Partners, managers, and executives on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretations, job evaluations and new hire offers
  • Partner with the Legal and Finance teams to craft, budget, update, communicate and disclose compensation plans
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable country and state regulations governing global compensation programs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 7 years of compensation related experience; knowledge of technology, agriculture and/or financial services industries highly preferred
  • Progressive Compensation experience; should include design, development, and implementation of base and either sales incentives or equity programs
  • Experience in high growth privately held companies is ideal
  • High learning agility including the ability to deal well and thrive in complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong leadership capabilities and proven as a dynamic HR People partner
  • Experience working for a global company, where success requires leading through matrix structures and where building relationships to influence things outside your direct control are essential
  • Demonstrated large scale project management experience
  • Systems thinking skills and ability to develop solutions in the context of big picture objectives
  • Expert level spreadsheet skills, data analysis and visualization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including ability to convey complex concepts in presentation materials and in delivering presentations to all audiences
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation Module
  • Bachelor’s degree required

The following represents FBN’s reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $125,000 – $154,000. This salary range may vary based on geography and the higher cost of labor in some metropolitan areas.
