Commissioning Specialist – Substations – US Wide Travel

Neo International Partners are partnered with an EPC who are looking to add a new Commissioning Specialist focusing on Substations to their growing business unit.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of an experienced renewable energy team and a growing business unit.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities

  • Perform testing and maintenance of various substation equipment
  • Testing equipment, electromechanical and relays, meters, computers
  • Knowledge of substation protective relay control systems and SCADA/Automation
  • Knowledge of Doble or Omicron relay testing software is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams, logic diagrams, system maps, and wiring/control schematics.
  • Quality assurance and/or construction experience with Battery Energy Storage Project
  • Field experience in troubleshooting
  • Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment at control, LV, MV & DC voltages

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Valid driving license
  • 5+ years’ experience in Substations
  • 3+ years’ experience within industrial or commercial power systems testing/commissioning
  • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off shift hours and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time (Travel may not always be required but will be determined by commissioning requirements).
  • Licensures and Certifications: NETA 3, or 4
