What youll be doing
The Commercial Solar Installation Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of commercial solar projects. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in solar installation, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will be responsible for
Project Management:
Manage all phases of solar installation projects, from initial planning to final commissioning.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of installation technicians and subcontractors.
Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress and address any issues.
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Quality Assurance:
Oversee the quality of installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct site inspections and audits to verify work quality and safety.
Address any defects or issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
Client Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular updates on project status and address any client concerns or questions.
Ensure a positive client experience and build long-term relationships.
Technical Expertise:
Stay current with advancements in solar technology and installation best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installation.
Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including permits, contracts, and progress reports.
Prepare and submit required documentation for project approvals and incentives.
What we need from you…
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar installation or a similar role.
Proven track record of managing commercial solar projects from start to finish.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical codes, and safety standards.
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
