What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Manager to support the firms evolving obligations in climate change mitigation and social development obligations levied by statute or regulation in jurisdictions the company operates or required by clients with which the company chooses to engage. The successful candidate will have expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and decarbonization pathways, as well as managing progress against company science based targets. This Manager will partner with stakeholders across the firm to provide oversight on our annual ESG Report and the reuse of its content throughout the year, and managing progress against company goals. The ideal candidate has a passion for sustainability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to influence/collaborate with multiple teams across the enterprise. This is an internal Operations opening within Corporate Services.
Reporting into Guidehouses Enterprise Risk Management Director, the Enterprise Risk Management Manager will provide support to the broader Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Department through ongoing oversight, development and maturing of the firms Sustainability and
Social Development services and programs.
The Manager will be responsible for orchestrating inputs to the annual Sustainability Report along with supporting the ERM Departments services provided to our internal clients:
Measuring and reporting on Sustainability-related data
Ensuring the appropriate application and reporting on Greenhouse Gas accounting best practices for Guidehouse businesses
Client and Teaming Partner Due Diligence Manage and mature the firms Due Diligence program to include sustainability metrics. Perform due diligence screenings, review results and monitor for any restricted entities using a third-party compliance manager tool.
Pursuit Management: Risk, Gate and Consultation – Engage with client facing Pursuit Teams to provide support on engagement risk related to sustainability or social development obligations and representations. Review and monitor risk factors associated with opportunities that Guidehouse teams are pursuing.
Audit Participation: Select risk services are in scope for internal and external audits, participation as an auditee may be required.
Training: Develop and provide training related to risk management services.
Policy & Procedures: Regularly reviews policies and procedures to ensure they are current.
What You Will Need:
Bachelors Degree; Four (4) years additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Seven (7) + years of professional experience
Experience with Greenhouse Gas accounting best practices and protocol standards
Experience and knowledge of Decarbonization Pathways relevant to global professional services organizations
Knowledge of global reporting standards and evolving climate regulations
Recognize the importance of sustainable business practices.
Critical Thinking and Analytical skills with a multidisciplinary perspective.
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience,
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Dynamics
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with leadership at the project, Segment, and C-Suite and colleagues with diverse, mutli-cultural attributes
Strong organizational skills, including process ownership and management
Ability to work on time-sensitive issues and apply problem-solving skills
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Knowledge of CDP and Ecovadis
A qualification or certification in greenhouse gas accounting(i.e., GHG management institute certification, GHG accounting graduate certificate
Project Management experience (CAPM or PMP a plus)
Audit Readiness and Remediation experience
Professional Services and Consulting experience
