Job Description

Position Overview: An exciting battery materials company is tentatively starting their search for a new CEO. They are currently in the of a raise (Series A) and upon completion, the current CEO will step into a Non-Exec position. We are now seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company through its next stage of growth and development. The CEO will be responsible for establishing and executing the company’s long-term strategy, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation. This leader will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, executive team, and stakeholders to position next steps of scaling product development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Vision:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sustainable growth and market leadership.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and emerging market trends in the battery and energy storage industry.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all business functions meet quality standards and drive efficiency.
  • Develop and enhance operational processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Financial Stewardship:

  • Manage the company’s financial performance, including budget development and oversight, revenue growth, and cost management.
  • Cultivate relationships with investors and explore funding opportunities to support growth initiatives.

Team Leadership:

  • Build and oversee a high-performing executive team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Mentor and develop talent within the organization to strengthen leadership capabilities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary spokesperson, communicating the company’s mission and vision to diverse audiences.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to foster productive relationships.

Research and Development:

  • Champion a culture of innovation by supporting research and development initiatives to enhance battery technology and product offerings.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements to ensure they remains competitive and at the forefront of technology.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CEO or in a senior executive role, preferably within the Battery Technology.
  • Strong understanding of battery technology, energy storage systems, and related markets.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and execution skills with a proven track record of driving growth.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building abilities, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and investor relations.
  • Relevant advanced degree (MBA, Engineering, or related field) preferred.
