Responsibilities:
– Install solar panels on roofs or other structures according to project specifications
– Use hand and power tools to assemble, install, and secure solar panel systems
– Connect solar panels to electrical components and wiring systems
– Test and troubleshoot solar panel systems to ensure proper functioning
– Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently and safely
– Adhere to safety protocols and follow industry standards and regulations
Experience:
– Previous experience in solar installation or a related field is preferred
– Familiarity with electrical systems and components
– Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety practices related to solar installations
– Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
– Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for solar installations
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Skills:
– Forklift operation for moving materials as needed
– Commercial electrician experience for electrical connections
– Roofing experience for proper installation on various types of roofs
– Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) for compliance with electrical standards
– Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
– Ability to use power tools such as drills, saws, and impact drivers for installation purposes
