Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team. You will have expertise in various carpentry tasks and possess strong leadership qualities to oversee projects effectively. Ideally, you will also have a background in Commercial construction, leading and completing projects from the ground up.

This opportunity is based out of Form Energy’s Weirton, WV facility. Relocation assistance is available.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of skilled labor on construction sites

  • Interpret and implement blueprints to meet project specifications

  • Perform frame & finish carpentry, concrete forming and drywall

  • Prepare surfaces for installation of new materials and projects including demolition

  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze shop drawings

  • Ability to read a tape to exact measurement specifications

  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on existing carpentry structures

  • Ability to work in self-directed team environment required

  • Must be highly proactive, customer-focused, trustworthy, and have integrity

  • Inspect products and select the correct shop equipment, precision measurement devices and other tools needed for job

  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols

  • Work collaboratively with other construction professionals such as engineers, electricians, and plumbers

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum ten (5) years of experience in the commercial construction field

  • Installation of required job constructed safety elements & systems

  • Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding project requirements

  • Ability to execute precise carpentry work

  • Familiarity with concrete forming techniques

  • Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate team members
