Job Description


Role Overview Pivot Energy is seeking a highly energized sales operations associate to support the subscription origination team and goals by optimizing processes at scale. The sales operations associate will collaborate across departments, including operations, structured finance, sales, and product, to ensure contract consistency, quality, and standardization.

The ideal candidate will be organized, collaborative, and able to meet competing deadlines – ensuring that all stakeholders operate with clear and accurate information and that portfolio milestones are achieved on time and accurately. Additionally, this candidate will be able to gather and apply a range of market, policy, regulatory, technical, and financial information.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Allocation of subscribers to community solar gardens, ensuring optimal utilization of available capacity while maximizing customer satisfaction and revenue streams
  • Collect customer information to support the underwriting and processing of community solar subscriptions in alignment with project, program, and portfolio objectives
  • Process sales documents and customer data in a timely manner to aid in successful customer onboarding
  • Maintain accurate customer data records using cloud-based tools, identifying opportunities to enhance processes or tools when relevant
  • Identify and act on any contract discrepancies in partnership with the subscription sales team
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of sales documents for financial underwriting, including contracts, financial information, sales data, and more depending on the product
  • Monitor and report on sales progress, communicating with key sales and operations team members to support forecasting and operational demand planning
  • Follow established policies and best practices on required customer documentation by program and financier requirements
  • From time to time, research state and market requirements to ensure these policies stay relevant and up-to-date

Required Competencies

  • Knowledge of solar, preferably community solar, and structured finance of distributed energy
  • Experience working with contracts and ability to navigate legal constructs and identify risks within contracts
  • Experience working in Smartsheets, Salesforce, or similar Project Management tools
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel tools, including data analysis and reporting with large data sets
  • Detail- and process-oriented, with a passion for accuracy and on-time execution

Preferred Competencies

  • 1+ year of sales support and analysis experience
  • 1-2+ years working in community solar or commercial solar preferred, or project management experience with business models involving multiple complex projects running simultaneously

$60,000 – $90,000 a year

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $90,000 depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date).
