Here at Ceres, we value integrity, equity, belonging, compassion, and respect. We demonstrate those values through how we communicate and collaborate with our colleagues and external partners; and embody them in our decision making and advocacy efforts to create a more just and sustainable future.

About the Investor Network Team

The Investor Network (IN) team works with more than 220 institutional investors (managing more than $46 trillion in assets) to advance sustainable investment practices, engage with corporate leaders, and advocate for key policy and regulatory solutions to accelerate the transition to a more just and equitable world. We work both domestically in the U.S. and on global collaborations including Climate Action 100+, The Investor Agenda, the Paris Aligned Investment Initiative, and the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative.

About the Role

The Associate plays a key role in Ceres’ support to institutional investors seeking to engage companies on a range of sustainability priorities. The role will focus on supporting a Senior Director co-lead of the Investor Engagement Hub (IEH), and the work of the IN Team and our investors to promote effectiveness and efficiency in their work with Ceres.

This individual supports the build out of key components of the IEH by organizing and facilitating the monthly Community of Practice meeting, and maintaining the IEH SharePoint site, and supporting the monthly Shareholder Initiation for Climate and Sustainability (SICS) meetings and creation of new materials and guidance related to shareholder engagement.

In addition to the IEH responsibilities, this role will be responsible for project management of the annual IN Team work planning and budgeting process and will track quarterly progress towards workplan goals. • In collaboration with Ceres Information Systems and Communications experts, maintain the IEH landing and SICS landing pages to be housed in the IN section of SharePoint (oversight provided by the IEH senior directors and VP IN).
  • Support the weekly SICS team meetings, the monthly SICS investor meetings and the annual Proxy Season Awareness webinar.
  • Investor Portal user/email management.
  • Biannual reporting in Salesforce for SICS and IEH.
  • Support the development and communication of new guidance and protocols related to IEH projects to be rolled out across Ceres Programs and IN teams.
  • Liaise with senior management within the IEH on content and direction.
  • Facilitate development and maintenance of Ceres’ Company Briefs Directory in coordination with the Program teams and their respective engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for Ceres program and network staff on all our shareholder engagement initiatives and working groups.
  • Provide administrative support to leadership in setting agendas for weekly IN team meetings, taking and disseminating meeting notes, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Support coordination, planning, and management of IN team events and retreats, working closely with leadership and project leads.
  • Assist with coordination of investor outreach, events, and communications, specifically focusing on organization for various in-person and virtual meetings and conference calls throughout the year and meeting follow-up communications.

  • Develop and draft content for the internal IN Team SharePoint page.
  • Other projects as assigned.
